  • BMW F 450 GS Launch Tomorrow; Expected Price To Start Around Rs 4.8 Lakh

BMW F 450 GS Launch Tomorrow; Expected Price To Start Around Rs 4.8 Lakh

The BMW F 450 GS is all set to be launched tomorrow and is already among the most awaited two-wheeler debuts of 2026. Built in India by TVS for BMW, this twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle aims to cater to enthusiasts who have long been waiting for a locally manufactured mid-capacity ADV.

For years, Indian riders have been demanding a twin-cylinder adventure bike that is made in India and priced competitively. The F 450 GS appears to be addressing that demand to a certain extent, especially with its expected pricing strategy.

With bookings now open, initial reports suggest that the motorcycle could be priced in the range of Rs 4.80 lakh to Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). BMW is likely to introduce multiple variants including Basic, Exclusive, Sport and the top-spec GS Trophy. The Trophy variant is expected to stand out with features like tubeless wire-spoke wheels and the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), making it more capable for serious adventure touring.

Given the spread of variants, the top-end version could command a significantly higher on-road price, potentially crossing Rs 6.5 lakh and even nearing the Rs 7 lakh mark depending on the configuration and location.

There have been discussions around BMW’s earlier pricing strategy with models like the BMW G 310 R, which was initially launched at a higher price before receiving revisions later. However, in the case of the F 450 GS, BMW is expected to position the bike more strategically right from the start.

This is largely because the platform will spawn more models in the future, including the upcoming BMW F 450 R and F 450 RR, which are expected to be positioned below the GS in terms of pricing. For instance, the roadster version could be priced noticeably lower than the adventure model.

Overall, the anticipation around the baby GS remains strong, and there is also a possibility that BMW could introduce an attractive introductory price at launch to further boost initial demand.

  • KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track Revealed; Hardcore Track Machine Limited To 100 Units

KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track Revealed; Hardcore Track Machine Limited To 100 Units

The KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track has been revealed as the brand’s most focused and extreme offering to date. Built exclusively for circuit use, this limited-run motorcycle will be produced in just 100 units globally, clearly targeting serious track riders looking for outright performance and rarity.

Unlike the regular Super Duke lineup, this version has been developed purely for track duties. KTM has removed road-going equipment and reworked the motorcycle to meet circuit requirements, turning it into a dedicated race-focused machine rather than a street-derived upgrade.

A major highlight of the RR Track is its aggressive weight-saving approach. The motorcycle uses high-end materials like carbon-fibre panels, magnesium wheels and titanium components to bring down overall mass. The inclusion of a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system further contributes to both reduced weight and improved performance.

At its core sits the updated 1,350 cc LC8 V-twin engine, delivering nearly 200 hp along with 151 Nm of torque. This results in an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of over 1:1, making it the most powerful production model KTM has ever built. The setup is tuned to deliver strong acceleration and sustained high-speed performance on the track.

On the hardware front, the bike comes equipped with WP Pro suspension inspired by MotoGP technology, ensuring precise handling and stability. Braking is managed by a high-performance Brembo system, while Michelin slick tyres reinforce its track-only purpose. The electronics package includes dedicated ride modes, adjustable rider aids and a simplified TFT display focused on essential track data.

Ergonomics have also been refined for better control, with a lower handlebar position and a reshaped fuel tank to improve rider grip during cornering and braking. The single-seat configuration and enhanced adjustability make it more suited for aggressive riding scenarios.

With its limited production, race-spec components and extreme performance focus, the KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track positions itself as one of the most hardcore machines ever produced by KTM for track enthusiasts.

  • 2 Upcoming Rugged SUVs In India – New Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift & Jetour T2 Detailed

2 Upcoming Rugged SUVs In India – New Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift & Jetour T2 Detailed

The rugged SUV segment in India is all set to witness fresh action in the coming months, with two very different offerings lined up for launch. The Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift will continue to build on its strong legacy, while JSW Motors will step into the market with the all-new Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid SUV. Both models are expected to arrive before the end of 2026, bringing a mix of traditional toughness and modern technology.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift Expected Around August 2026

The updated Scorpio-N is likely to go on sale around August 2026, and the biggest changes will be seen inside the cabin. While the ladder-frame chassis and rugged 4×4 capabilities will remain untouched, Mahindra is preparing a major feature upgrade to keep the SUV competitive.

One of the key highlights will be the introduction of a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, replacing the current single-pane unit in higher variants, although lower trims are expected to continue with the existing setup. Spy shots have also confirmed the addition of a 360-degree camera system, with cameras positioned on the ORVMs and front grille. The SUV could further benefit from a blind-view monitor, improving visibility during lane changes.

Inside, the dashboard layout is expected to be revised with a more premium and tech-focused approach. The facelifted model will likely feature a larger 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system along with a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster capable of displaying navigation and ADAS-related information. The equipment list could also expand to include ventilated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat and an upgraded Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos support.

Despite these updates, the mechanical package will remain unchanged. The Scorpio-N will continue with its 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel engines, paired with both manual and automatic gearbox options. The 4×4 system will also be retained in higher variants, ensuring its off-road credentials stay intact.

Jetour T2 PHEV Launch Likely By Diwali 2026

JSW Motors is preparing to enter the Indian automotive market with the Jetour T2, which is expected to be launched around Diwali 2026. Unlike conventional rugged SUVs, this model brings a strong focus on electrification along with a bold design language.

The Jetour T2 features a boxy, upright stance reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender, giving it a commanding road presence. However, the real highlight lies under the hood, where it adopts an advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain instead of the usual diesel setup seen in this segment.

The SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a sizeable 26.7 kWh battery pack. In its dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, the system delivers a combined output of 381 hp and 610 Nm. It comes mated to a 3-speed DHT gearbox and is claimed to offer an electric-only driving range of up to 139 km under NEDC standards, along with a total range exceeding 1000 km.

In terms of off-road capability, the Jetour T2 uses BorgWarner’s XWD intelligent system, which can automatically adapt across multiple driving conditions. It rides on a monocoque platform but still manages to offer 220 mm of ground clearance, balancing comfort with capability.

The cabin is expected to be loaded with technology, featuring a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by a Snapdragon 8155 processor. It will also come equipped with a 12-speaker Sony audio system with active noise cancellation, along with ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

    Conclusion

With the Scorpio-N facelift focusing on enhancing comfort and in-cabin technology, and the Jetour T2 introducing a high-performance hybrid setup, the rugged SUV segment in India is set to evolve rapidly. Buyers will soon have the option to choose between a proven body-on-frame SUV and a modern electrified alternative, making the competition far more diverse than before.

  • KTM 390 Duke, 390 Adventure Get New 350cc Variants; Prices Start At Rs 2.77 Lakh

KTM 390 Duke, 390 Adventure Get New 350cc Variants; Prices Start At Rs 2.77 Lakh

KTM has expanded its 390 lineup with the introduction of new 350cc variants of the 390 Duke and 390 Adventure, aimed at making the range more accessible. Unlike some other manufacturers that have replaced larger engines with smaller ones, KTM will continue selling the existing 399cc models alongside these new versions.

The KTM 390 Duke 350 has been priced at Rs 2.77 lakh, while the 390 Adventure 350 comes in at Rs 2.81 lakh (both ex-showroom). This makes them roughly Rs 62,000 more affordable than their 399cc counterparts, significantly lowering the entry point into KTM’s premium single-cylinder lineup.

Powering these new variants is a 349.32cc, single-cylinder engine producing 41.5 hp at 8,600 rpm and 33.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. Compared to the 399cc motor, this represents a drop of 4.5 hp and 5.5 Nm. Despite the reduced output, KTM has retained all other key aspects of the motorcycles, ensuring a familiar riding experience.

Both the 350cc Duke and Adventure continue with the same wheelbase, ground clearance, chassis setup, and features, including the TFT instrument console and overall ergonomics. Visually and mechanically, apart from the engine, there are no notable changes.

KTM has also updated the naming of the 399cc models to differentiate them from the new variants. The 390 Duke is now referred to as the 390 Duke R, while the 390 Adventure lineup gets suffixes like S, X, and R depending on the variant.

The introduction of these 350cc motorcycles also brings them closer in price to the 250cc range, which could potentially impact the sales of the 250 Duke and 250 Adventure. With a relatively small price gap now, buyers may be tempted to upgrade to the more powerful 350cc models.

Overall, KTM’s move to introduce 350cc variants makes the 390 range more accessible to a wider audience. While there is a slight drop in performance, the significant reduction in price could make these new versions a compelling option for many buyers.

  • Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z With 349cc Engine Launched – Power Drops, Price Unchanged

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z With 349cc Engine Launched – Power Drops, Price Unchanged

Bajaj Auto has silently updated the Pulsar NS400Z with a new 349cc engine, aligning it with its latest strategy of downsizing engines to fit under the revised GST norms. The update has been made official via the website, while the price continues to stand at Rs 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Engine Downsized To 349cc – Output Now At 40 BHP

The biggest change comes under the hood. The Pulsar NS400Z now uses a 349.13cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, replacing the earlier 373cc motor.

    • Power: 40–40.6 bhp @ 9,000 rpm
    • Torque: 33.2 Nm @ 7,500 rpm

This marks a drop of 2.4 bhp and 1.8 Nm compared to the outgoing version. Interestingly, the output figures are now identical to the Dominar 400’s updated 350cc engine.

The revised motor also delivers peak performance higher in the rev band, indicating a slightly more peaky power delivery than before.

Bore Same, Stroke Reduced – Dominar 400 Connection

To achieve the lower displacement, Bajaj has reduced the engine stroke:

    • Stroke: 56.1 mm (earlier 60 mm)
    • Bore: 89 mm (unchanged)

This confirms that the engine is closely related to the unit seen on the Dominar 400, which also recently received a similar update.

No Other Changes Mechanically Or Visually

Apart from the new engine, the Pulsar NS400Z remains unchanged:

    • Same perimeter frame
    • USD front forks and rear monoshock
    • 17-inch alloy wheels
    • Disc brakes: 320 mm front, 230 mm rear
    • Dual-channel ABS

    Part Of Bajaj’s 350cc Strategy

Bajaj has been systematically moving its higher-capacity motorcycles—including KTM and Triumph-based models—towards the ~350cc bracket. With this update, the Pulsar NS400Z becomes the latest and final model in the lineup to adopt the downsized engine philosophy.

    Conclusion

The Pulsar NS400Z continues to offer the same hardware and aggressive styling, but now with a smaller, slightly less powerful engine that prioritises compliance and efficiency. While performance enthusiasts may notice the drop, the unchanged pricing makes it a familiar value proposition in the segment.

    • Tiangong 05: Continues with a sleek fastback design, boasting a drag coefficient of 0.213 Cd
    • Tiangong 06: Retains its midsize SUV stance with a closed grille and flush door handles

Inside the cabin, both models get:

    • 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system
    • AI-based voice interaction
    • Multi-zone voice recognition

The Tiangong 06 goes a step further with:

    • 14-speaker Dynaudio sound system
    • AR-based head-up display (HUD)
    • Advanced driver assistance with highway + urban assist

    Hongqi’s Bigger EV Strategy

The introduction of 800V architecture aligns with Hongqi’s long-term electrification roadmap. The brand is reportedly working on next-generation battery tech, including solid-state batteries, which are expected to enter production around 2027.

At the same time, Hongqi is expanding its EV portfolio, with an extended-range off-road SUV (codenamed P567) set to debut at the Beijing Auto Show 2026.

Industry Context: Fast Charging Becoming The New Normal

China’s EV space has rapidly shifted towards 800V systems over the past year, with multiple brands pushing ultra-fast charging as a key differentiator. Hongqi’s move ensures the Tiangong series stays competitive as charging speed becomes as critical as driving range.

    Sales Snapshot

Despite the product push, Hongqi’s recent sales show mixed trends:

    • March 2026: 24,594 units (+29.4% MoM, -25.4% YoY)
    • February 2026: 19,003 units (-29.6% YoY)
    • January 2026: 31,638 units (-22.3% YoY)

While monthly recovery is visible, year-on-year pressure remains, making new product upgrades like these crucial for momentum.

IM Motors delivered 5,824 units in March 2026, and monthly volumes have largely remained below 10,000 units except for a brief spike in late 2025. With LS8, the company aims to improve its market performance through aggressive pricing and a feature-loaded package.

The LS8 may also be introduced in international markets under the MG brand, similar to how IM’s L6 sedan is sold overseas.

In China’s highly competitive new-energy SUV segment, the LS8 will rival models such as the Li Auto L8, Denza N8L, Aito M8 and Voyah Taishan X8.

    Segment Trends

Buyers in this segment prioritise comfort, long driving range and advanced technology. Automakers are increasingly positioning such SUVs as “home away from home”, introducing features focused on convenience and lifestyle.

Examples include in-cabin heating solutions, luxury seating setups and even experimental concepts like integrated cooking systems and extended living features. With LS8, IM Motors continues this trend by combining performance, practicality and high-end comfort features in a single package.
